Overview

If you’ve started a loan request through Upstart, you can easily check the status online or in our mobile app. Whether you need to continue where you left off, upload documents, or review a loan decision, everything can be accessed through your My Account dashboard.

This guide explains how to track your loan application and what to do if additional information is needed.

How to Check Your Loan Request Status

On your computer:

1. Log into your My Account using your email and password.
2. If you have an in-progress application, you’ll see a pop-up notification asking if you want to resume where you left off.  Otherwise, click on the card for the loan request on your My Account home page.
   1. 💡 Please note that you can only have one active loan request per product at a time.
3. If additional steps are required, you’ll see requests for documents or information needed to complete your application.

On the mobile app (iOS only):

1. Open the Upstart mobile app and log in using your email and password.
2. On the Home screen, tap on the card for your loan application.
3. If additional steps are required, you will see requests for documentation or information needed to complete your application.

Next Steps

• In many cases, an instant decision is made based on your application details.
• If your loan is approved, you will be able to review and accept your offer online.
• If additional verification is required, you’ll be prompted to upload documents before a final decision is made.

Where to Find Important Updates

• My Account Dashboard – Track your loan request status and upload documents if needed.
• Email Notifications – Check your personal email for messages from Upstart about your loan.
• My Account Documents and Notices – View any adverse action notices or account-level communications regarding your application.

💡 Tip: If your loan application is declined, you will receive an adverse action notice in your My Account inbox explaining the decision.
