How to get confirmation that your loan is paid off

Overview

After your loan is paid in full, you’ll automatically receive a payoff confirmation email within 15 days. This email will include a watermarked copy of your promissory note marked “Paid in Full.”

You can also access and download your payoff documents directly from your My Account at any time once they’re available.

These documents are often used for personal records, proof to other financial institutions, or credit reporting purposes.


When You’ll Receive Your Payoff Documents

After your final payment has been successfully processed:

  • You’ll receive an automated email within 15 days with the watermarked promissory note attached.
  • Your documents will also be available in your My Account under Documents & Notices.

How to Find Your Payoff Documents in My Account

Once your documents are available, you can access them in any of the following ways:

Option 1: From the Account Menu

  1. Sign in to My Account.
  2. Click your name in the upper-right corner.
  3. Select Documents & Notices.
  4. Download or print your promissory note marked “Paid in Full.”

Option 2: From Your Loan Summary

  1. Sign in to My Account.
  2. Select the tile for the loan you have finished paying off.
  3. Scroll down to the Loan Summary section.
  4. Select Promissory Note to view or download your document.

Option 3: From the Upstart Mobile App

  1. Sign in to the mobile app (iOS only).
  2. Tap your name in the upper-right corner.
  3. Tap on Disclosures & Consents to open those menu options.
  4. Tap on Documents & Notices to open your list of loan documents in a new web browser window on your device.

Select Promissory Note to view or download your document.


Do I Need to Contact Support?

In most cases, no action is required to receive your payoff confirmation documents.

You should contact us if:

  • You’re unable to access your My Account.
  • You prefer to receive your documents by mail.

In those situations, we’ll help provide your payoff documents by email or mail.
