Using the Upstart mobile app: features and availability

Overview

The Upstart mobile app lets you manage your account, explore eligible products, and open and access your Cash Line from your mobile device. Download the Upstart app today by clicking this link or scanning the QR code below.

 

With the app, you can:

  • View loan details, including your loan balance, payment schedule, and account information.
  • Make one-time or scheduled payments.
  • Check past and upcoming payment status.
  • Apply for and open your Cash Line to get ongoing access to cash through a line of credit with instant deposits. 
  • Apply for a small dollar loan, or start your application for a personal loan.
  • Explore additional Upstart products.
  • Access FAQs in the Help Center.

Additionally, if you have a Cash Line account you can:

  • Manage your subscription – Make changes to or cancel your subscription.
  • Request draws –Access funds from your available line of credit. 

Currently, the Upstart app is available only for iPhone users, and an Android version is planned for the future. Cash Line is currently available through the Upstart iOS app.

 

Note: If you are in an active bankruptcy, some functionality may not be available to you.


1. How to Download the Upstart App

For iPhone Users

Download the app on the App Store by following this link or scanning the QR code below.

After downloading the app, create a new account or log in using your Upstart credentials to access your My Account.

 

💡Tip: Enable push notifications in your iPhone settings to receive updates and reminders.

For Android Users

The Upstart mobile app is not yet available for Android devices, but an Android version is planned for the future. You can still access your Upstart account on your mobile browser by visiting Upstart.com.

 


2. How to Reset Your Password in the App

If you forget your Upstart password, you can reset it directly through the app:

  1. Open the Upstart app and tap Login.
  2. Select "I forgot my password" below the login credential fields.
  3. Enter your Upstart account email and submit the request.
  4. Check your email inbox for a password reset link.
  5. Click "Reset Password" and follow the instructions to create a new password.

💡 Tip: If you don’t receive the reset email, check your spam or junk folder or ensure you entered the correct email address.


3. Troubleshooting Issues with the Upstart Mobile App

If you experience issues logging in or using the app, try the following troubleshooting steps:

Basic Troubleshooting

  1. Log out and log back in:
    1. Tap the profile icon in the upper right corner.
    2. Select Logout and then log back in.
  2. Close and reopen the app:
    1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle.
    2. Swipe left or right to locate the Upstart app.
    3. Swipe up to close it, then reopen the app.
  3. Uninstall and reinstall the app:
    1. Touch and hold the app icon on your Home screen.
    2. Select Remove App → Delete App to uninstall.
    3. Reinstall the app from the App Store.

 


4. Reporting a Bug or Issue
